Scheggino is reached by gradually leaving behind Umbria’s more traveled roads. The landscape grows greener, the Nera River accompanies the arrival, the village appears gathered in its ancient form, with stone houses rising toward the castle and narrow lanes climbing toward the old tower.
Torre del Nera is not beside the village, but within the village: rooms and apartments follow the structure of the albergo diffuso, entering the silent life of Scheggino and restoring the feeling of inhabiting a place.
From here, Umbria opens in many directions, offering the possibility to explore the surroundings also through the many experiences the region offers. You can stay in Scheggino and listen to its quiet, or make it a starting point for discovering the territory.
The car is the most convenient way to arrive in Scheggino and to move around the area during your stay. Once you reach the village, we recommend following the signs for the property and the welcome area.
The historic center has narrow lanes and stone passages, which is why it is necessary to leave the car in the designated areas. A free electric shuttle will then take you to your accommodations in the upper part of the village.
The nearest train station is Spoleto. From Spoleto, you can continue toward Scheggino by public bus, taxi, or private transfer.

The nearest airport is Umbria International Airport “San Francesco d’Assisi,” in Perugia. From the airport, you can reach Scheggino by car, with a rental car or private transfer.
Alternatively, you can continue toward Spoleto and complete the journey by bus, taxi, or transfer.
For those arriving from other Italian cities or from abroad, the airports of Rome may also be a useful option. From Rome, you can reach Umbria by car or travel by train to Spoleto and then continue toward Scheggino.
