Sustainability
Guardians of a unique beauty, to be preserved
At Torre del Nera, sustainability is not a theme separate from hospitality. For us, being sustainable means first of all not wasting: every resource is considered part of a broader balance, to be used with care and without excess in order to make the stay more conscious. Nature is not only what surrounds Torre del Nera, but what makes the experience itself possible: the river, the greenery, the clean air, the trails. This is why every daily choice is born from the desire to welcome well, consuming less and guarding better.
Our environmental policy takes shape in precise forms of care. We reduce the use of plastic, choose recycled paper and more responsible materials, and adopt solutions designed to contain waste in the property’s daily management. The spaces, too, are cared for with more attentive criteria, from mechanical floor cleaning to the control of usage times in the sauna and Turkish bath, through to the systems for switching the outdoor lights on and off, regulated to avoid unnecessary consumption.
Mobility is another important aspect. The property provides charging devices for electric cars and e-bikes, encouraging a more ecological way of moving. Supporting the territory also means choosing slow tourism, capable of giving value to places without consuming them.
Sustainability is stronger when it becomes shared. This is why we invite guests to take part through simple gestures: using water with care, avoiding unnecessary waste, choosing when to request a towel change, respecting the silence and delicacy of the village. Gestures that are often invisible, but decisive. Because guarding is not an abstract gesture, but a daily practice that begins with small choices.
